This part was the hardest. Because I have to watch several tutorial and familiarize myself. At first it was frustrating, but I tried to understand how this software works and repeating the tutorial video so I can get the animation that I want. Considering the effectiveness and the timeline, i decided to use simple effect, by creating a moving background.
- First, I uploaded the photoshop file into after effects and adjusting the time frames by clicking (ctrl + k)
- Then I made new window to creating the moving background. In here I used the dust texture from the poster.
- To create the moving background, I set the time frame for 8 seconds, and then put the texture and crop the timeline for 2 frame and duplicate it, until reach the maximum frame.
- For creating the different motives, I rotate each frame.
- After done creating the background, I moved the background layer into the self titled file.
- Because the moving background only last for 8 second, I used time stretch so it could fit the whole video.
- Adjust the layer with the screen mode and curve to create a moving texture effects.
- After done with adjusting, render the video.
Here is the detailed tutorial I watched on youtube:
FINAL RESULT
REFLECTION
Experience:
In this project, I learned a lot about using Adobe Illustration. Adobe Illustration is one of the software that I enjoyed the most while using it. At first, this software was confusing, but over time I managed to practice and learn new tricks and get better using it.
Observation:
Working with Adobe Illustration is fun and challenging. Learning about this app is like a never-ending story because every time I do research I will always find new hacks or new tutorials that I can apply to produce a good illustration. The important thing is, that we cannot stop learning and only lean on the lectures that the university provides, we have to explore.
Findings:
Doing this task might be difficult because I have to compile all three modules in it. But overall this task has taught me a lot that time management is everything.
